The Amplified version of the Bible so succinctly states God's will for us, I will simply present the second verse of Third John here in it's entirety. As you meditate on this scripture, perhaps you will understand why I felt that any elaboration on my part would be totally inadequate at best.

III John verse 2:
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and that your body may keep well, even as I know your soul keeps well and prospers."

I trust that the progression is apparent. First, we must "latch on" to God's promises. Next, it is necessary for our tongues to "line up" with the Word of God. It is only then, that we will be able to be a demonstration of God's love working in a believer.
